Prop. 8 Talk

I am calm... I just need to say this.

Ok, so I know that some people are really mad at the Church for putting that much money into helping the pass Prop 8. But, while those who are gay in Cali wanted it to fail because of what they believe in, we wanted it to pass because of what WE believe in. We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. To be completely honest, I have gay friends. I don't hate gay people, I didn't want this prop to pass because "i hate gays." I think that gays have the right to be with whoever they want, it is their choice. But marriage, I believe, is between a man and a woman. That is what I believe, that is what my church believes, and we are just trying to protect what we believe. This prop has passed, and people want to try to make it fail again. Please, you don't understand what will happen if it does fail. We want to protect our rights just as much as everyone else, that is why we have taken the measures that we have. I don't get how people think we are trying to take away their rights, we aren't. Please, we don't want to cause fights or start things that will cause conflict between the people of this Great country. Please, we are just trying to protect what we believe...

Watch this. It talks about our side on Prop. 8.

Wow America

I am two emotions: stunned and excited.

I am excited because Barack Obama made it into the White House! He will bring the change that we have been looking for. Yes, he is the first African-American president we have ever had, but I didn't vote for him just based on his skin color. I voted for Barack Obama because I felt that he was more qualified. I felt that we needed to get a Democrat in office. I felt good about my choice, and I can't wait to see what Obama will do for our country. We should all be proud.

I am stunned by what the Republicans are doing. Face the facts, Obama won. Nothing that you can say or do will change that. McCain wants us to be united, and we should be. This nation is a great place, and it is a wonderful thing that we have moved this far.

Barack Obama seems like he will be a great person who will help our country. We will just have to watch and see what he will do with this nation.

Halloween 2008

Tonight I had fun. I didn't go to the Black Light Party, like I had originally planned. I actually went out with Chelsie, and we went to this party with Mike Ivey and Brian Preece. It was legit. Me and Chels were girls from the 80s, Mike and Brian were hobos, Mark was a rockstar, and Jaron was a boy scout leader (props to my dad!!!) I really did have fun.
