Those darn Cascade Regional Vampires!!

So I donated blood today. To be completely honest, I was kinda freaked out on my way there. You see, I have a fear of both needles and blood. So I honest to goodness had no idea why I had accepted to help the Cascade Regional Blood Center and donate my precious blood.

But then I thought about it, and by just donating one pint of my blood, I could save 3 lives. 3 LIVES!! Then, my fears kinda went away. The pricking of the finger to test your iron and see if you have enough red blood cells is WAAAAAY worse than getting a needle stuck in your arm. I didn't believe it, but it's true.

Side note: I haven't donated blood since 2007, and I feel awfully guilty about that.

So, go donate blood wherever you live, if you are able to. You never know who might need it.

Oh man

I haven't blogged in a little bit, and it makes me sad. I realized that when I am home, I don't blog that often. Or sit on Facebook for hours at a time. Or watch videos on YouTube like crazy. Maybe I do have more of a life here at home than at school... NAW!!!

Blessings

As most of the readers I have know, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or the Mormon church. We have these things called "MormonAds", which are one of my all time favorite things. The picture is one of those.

I was reading an old New Era today, back from January of this year, and it had this MormonAd.

It helped me remember that my Father in Heaven has truly placed many blessings in my life. I need to remember that, and to remember that, in order to receive all of the blessings that God wants me to get, I need to stay worthy and willing.

It's my last year of being a teenager...

Last year my birthday was comprised of surprise party, watching the opening ceremony for the Olympics, and going to bed before anyone left...

This year, my brother threw me a surprise party as his birthday present, and it was a lot of fun!!

But, I am now 19 years of age... the last year of being a teenager. I seriously cannot believe that I have reached this milestone in my life.

Kinda makes me sad, since after this year I will have to officially grow up... but hopefully that will cause me to make this the best year ever!!
